Meow Wolf's Online Request For Colorado Artists Goes Live

Forty percent of the Meow Wolf arts space will be devoted to work of Colorado artists, who are advised to apply online at an open call.

DENVER, CO – Santa Fe's Meow Wolf has officially opened requests for artists from Denver (and other Colorado locations) to take part in its planned Sun Valley 60,000 sq. ft. "multi-dimensional art experience" at I-25 and Colfax.

“Because Denver is your city, Meow Wolf wants to dream, create, build, work and play with a big, diverse, awesome group of local makers,” Meow Wolf said in a press release.

Forty percent of the new Denver space will be devoted to Colorado artists, the collective said. The deadline for proposals is Oct. 26.

The arts group encouraged local artists to think in all artistic media. “Whether a single sculptural object, a full room installation, video and new media content, or a brilliant story—we want to see it all,” Meow Wolf said.

Two workshops planned this weekend at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science quickly filled to capacity. But the organization said they would release the info online. Meanwhile, artists can check out the online proposal site for the Colorado Open Call.
“Meow Wolf eagerly wants to see Denver and Colorado creativity in all its glory and possibility, with the ultimate goal to collaborate with as many Coloradans as possible on the coolest exhibition the world has ever seen,” the organization said.
