  1. Several Colorado legislators are demanding that the EPA strengthen proposed methane rules. A group of 76 lawmakers, including several members of Colorado's federal delegation, such as Rep. Diana Degette and Sen. Michael Bennett, are urging the Environmental Protection Agency to endorse more stringent regulations for methane emissions and pollution resulting from oil and natural gas activities. (CO Newsline)
  2. Threats made on several DPS schools on Friday. According to the Denver Public Schools, messages that threatened schools with violence were received by several schools in Denver. The police investigated the reports at East High School, South High School, Northfield High School, and DC-21, but concluded that the threats were not credible. (FOX 31)
  3. Access was cutoff to the town of Georgetown as semi-trucks without chains clogged I-70. Colorado State Patrol closed access to Georgetown on Wednesday due to weather-related traffic jams caused by multiple commercial vehicles that had slide off the road. (Out There)
  4. Metro State University is planning to expand its course offerings in order to address the shortage of health care workers. To address the anticipated shortage of health care workers in Colorado, MSU is expanding its medical program offerings. The Colorado Hospital Association is projecting that the state will experience a deficit of at least 64,000 health care professionals by 2026. (KDVR)
  5. Denver's expanded bikeway program has Sloan's Lake residents feeling deprived of parking spaces. Residents in the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood were caught off guard this week when after returning home only to discover new signs that prohibited parking in front of their homes on 23rd Avenue.
