  1. Bennet and Hickenlooper support the creation of a National Guard for space. A bipartisan group of lawmakers introduced the Space National Guard Establishment Act, which included U.S. Sens. Michael Bennet and John Hickenlooper from Colorado. The proposed legislation aims to create a Space National Guard by bringing together the Air National Guard and Army National Guard members who currently handle space-related tasks and placing them under the command of the Space Force.   2. Enabling Colorado children to make turns on the ski slopes. The long running event is known for its authenticity and connection to the Colorado community. Invest in Kids is a nonprofit organization that collaborates with various communities in Colorado to implement and scale effective programs that have a lasting impact on young children and families experiencing poverty.   3. Englewood considers increased housing density to address affordability concerns, but residents and council members have concerns. As Englewood works to address the lack of affordable housing, there is growing tension between residents and members of the city council regarding a proposed rezoning plan. The proposed plan would allow higher housing density in areas that have traditionally been designated for single-family residences. (Littleton Independent)
  4. Gas prices appear to be leveling off. After weeks of rising fuel costs, Colorado may finally see some relief at gas stations. AAA Reports that the average price for regular gasoline gas decreased by 4 cents to $4.06 per gallon. (FOX 31)
  5. UCHealth and Denver Health to Lift Most Mask Requirements. Starting on Wednesday, March 1, two of Colorado's largest health systems, UCHealth and Denver Health, will no longer require masks. UCHealth has stated that this decision was based on significant declines in COVID-19 and influenza cases. (CPR)
