Here are the top stories today in Denver:

  1. Almost half of the e-bike vouchers in 2022 went unredeemed. The City of Denver's popular e-bike voucher program will release more e-bike rebate vouchers this week, with discounts of $300-$1,400 at participating stores. In this first release of 2023, there's 860 vouchers available. Nearly 46 percent vouchers released last year have yet to be redeemed. (7News)
  2. Denver City council votes to make it legal to jaywalk in Denver. Denver pedestrians will soon be able to cross streets without fear of being ticketed after the city council approved a bill decriminalizing jaywalking. The bill now awaits approval from the mayor. (FOX31)
  3. Is Denver's charm being lost to bland buildings? New apartment buildings, condos, and homes in and around Denver continue to be overtaken by bland, box-like shapes and a dull gray stucco facade. Many neighborhoods feel like they're loosing their historic feel with all these ugly boxes. (Axios)
  4. Thieves make off with family's U-Haul that had more than just furniture packed in the truck. A Denver family's moving truck was stolen which has left them with practically nothing. The most devastating loss was the theft of urns holding the remains of three of their family members. (CBS4)
  5. For the first time in more than 70 years, Warren Miller Entertainment won't be filming a movie this year. In what appears to be a cost cutting measure, the parent company, Outside, Inc., has made the decision to reclaim old footage to produce the 2023 edition of the classic ski movies made each year by Warren Miller since 1950.
