Here are the top stories today in Denver:

  1. Still no official date has been set for Casa Bonita's grand reopening. The grand reopening of Casa Bonita, the iconic restaurant in Lakewood, has not been announced yet. Despite this, some Coloradans have already been seen queuing outside the Mexican dining-entertainment destination to be among the first to experience it. (BizWest)
  2. Seven separate shootings over the weekend in the metro area resulted in 12 people being shot. The Denver metro area experienced a violent weekend, with Aurora, Denver, and Commerce City being the locations of at least seven shootings. These incidents caused 11 people to be wounded, and one person lost their life. (FOX31)
  3. If you're single and childless in metro Denver, you're probably $15,000 short of living comfortably. According to U.S. Census Data estimates, unmarried and childless individuals residing in the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood region need an annual income of $70,892 to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. This figure amounts to approximately $86,000 annually when accounting for state and federal taxes. To catch up, most workers would need at least a 22 percent increase. (KDVR)
  4. New digs for Denver Skates Shop in Olde Town Arvada. Denver Skates Shop serves all forms of skating, including quads, inlines, and skateboards. Afton Hill, the owner, said that the shop will offer retail services, maintenance facilities, and skating and roller dancing classes. Additionally, skatepark lessons will be available at the shop with a grand opening planned for April 1. (Arvada Press)
  5. Despite receiving a significant fine, a Denver dispensary is still conducting drive-thru sales. A Denver dispensary has been fined $15,000 for engaging in unsanctioned drive-thru sales and committing several other violations. However, The Healing Tree, which operates as a recreational dispensary in the Elyria-Swansea neighborhood, has since rectified the issue with their to-go window and is no longer in violation. The dispensary received the citation in last December. (Westword)
