A fresh pilot program has been initiated in Denver to evaluate the presence of COVID-19 in the city's wastewater system at targeted sites. Beginning in March, the Department of Public Health and Environment in Denver started collecting raw sewage samples twice a week from two elementary schools and testing them for COVID-19 at the state lab.
