  1. Is it safe to leave your dog inside the car if it is 90 degrees outside? That'd be a big no. Even if the car windows are rolled down, an 80-degree day can be fatal for a dog trapped inside a hot car. On hot days, it is not advisable to bring your dog along because leaving your best friend in the car for even 10 minutes can lead to your pet experiencing extreme distress. (FOX31)
  2. After trailer stolen, Denver woman is left without a place to call home. Last January, Bernice Hollinshed's 30-foot, 8-ton trailer, connected to a generator, was stolen from its parked location at Eudora Street and 33rd Avenue. Hollinshed had temporarily unhooked her truck for a doctor's appointment, returning to find the trailer missing. The police currently have no leads regarding the theft. (CBS4)
  3. New watershed plan for Clear Creek is backed by nonprofit. Trout Unlimited, a nonprofit dedicated to the well-being of rivers and streams, is working to improve the Clear Creek watershed. The hope is to make a more significant impact on the preservation and restoration of this vital ecosystem along the creek. (Westword)
  4. Trailer full of Veruca Salt's singers' equipment stolen in Denver. A trailer filled with essential instruments, audio equipment, and gear was stolen from a hotel parking lot on Saturday night. The band persevered by renting and borrowing equipment, but custom gear, beloved instruments, amplifiers, guitars, consoles, and more were lost. (KDVR)
  5. Montbello food bank struggles to deliver amid funding shortage. The Sacks of Love food pantry is short on funds after grant falls through. The pantry assists over 300 families daily, as many in the community have been impacted by the end of SNAP benefits post-pandemic. They have also witnessed an upsurge in migrant families seeking food support, many of whom are ineligible for SNAP and other aid. (9News)
