  1. Sen. John Hickenlooper says "everything should be on the table" to solve the west's water problems. The Democratic senator from Colorado believes that in order to ensure the sustainability of life in the southwestern U.S. using Colorado River water, everything should be considered, from allowing some farmland to remain fallow to urging cities to conserve more water.   2. A comic look at the more than 550 jobs available at Casa Bonita. Are you up for the challenge of joining the Casa Bonita team? This isn't your average job listing as the revived and remodeled restaurant has over 550 available positions. Cartoonist Peter Moore humorously envisions the requirements and skills needed to work at the famous restaurant. (CO Sun)
  3. After being blessed with more than 300 inches of snow this year, Steamboat is already planning to extend its ski season. Steamboat resort will be extending its season until April 16 due to the recording of roughly 336.5 inches of snowfall so far this season. As per a report by 9News, the resort has only extended its season three times in its 30-year history. During the 2021-2022 season, Steamboat only received about 235.50 inches. (Out There)
  4. Swedish Medical Center to adding than 81,000 new square feet to the hospital. The new addition to the hospital includes a brand-new emergency department and additional space and capabilities for healthcare providers. The project, which began in 2020, encompasses the construction of a new building on the hospital campus, and is now going to cost over $72 million to complete. (Englewood Herald)
  5. Reminder! Northbound Speer Blvd. will be closed to traffic today. Drivers are being alerted by the City of Denver about the closure that will impact northbound travel on Speer Boulevard most of the day on Monday. Feb. 20. DOTI personnel will be closing off the stretch of northbound Speer Boulevard between Lawrence Street and Market Street from 3 a.m. to 11 p.m. The closure is part of a bridge replacement on Larimer Street and the installation of concrete girders.
