- Denver will start replacing speed limit signs. Following the city's decision to reduce residential street speed limits from 25 mph to 20 mph, the change was approved by the Denver City Council in December of 2021. (Axios)
- Sen. John Hickenlooper has discreetly been bringing together senators to address the looming issues in the Colorado River Basin. The senators have been convening regularly every few weeks to address issues regarding the Colorado River Basin. These meetings have increased in frequency due to Biden administration deadlines for basin states to reach a water conservation agreement that prevents Lake Mead and Lake Powell from falling to critically low levels. - Starbucks found guilty of unjust labor practices, will now have to rehire terminated employee in Denver. An administrative law judge ruled in favor of workers at a Denver Starbucks, finding that they were subject to retaliation after forming a union last year. The judge ordered Starbucks to reinstate the fired worker and remove warning letters from employee records and pay back wages. (9News)
- Can co-living be part of easing Denver's housing crisis? Co-living is legally permitted in Denver after group living regulations were revised in 2021 by Denver City Council. Co-housing also allows group living homes and rehab centers in areas that are zoned appropriately. (Sentinel)
- Colorado grapples with nursing shortage. Colorado health care campaigns strives to meet the demand caused by a nursing shortage and an aging workforce. The nursing shortage could result in hospitals facing difficulties in securing enough nurses to care for patients. (CBS4)
