Supernova Outdoor Digital Animation Festival Comes To Denver

A preview of 8 short experimental works by European and Brazilian film-makers will be screened at Sie FilmCenter.

DENVER, CO – Supernova, an outdoor festival of digital animation will be presented free on public LED displays this week at outdoor LEDs around Denver. The SUPERNOVA Digital Animation Festival runs from Friday through Sept. 23 in and around the Denver Theater District. The festival includes videos, abstract digital installations and family-friendly films. The festival also includes a juried competition, where film-makers and digital artists can win prizes up to $5,000.

“I liken it to a drive-in movie theater right in the heart of downtown,” Supernova director Ivar Zeile, and founder of Denver Digerati told Colorado Public Radio last year. “There’s so much traffic going through there, we really like the idea that the exposure comes to those that are not suspecting it to be there.”
