Top Haunted Attractions List Includes 3 In Colorado

COLORADO –Americans love to be scared and Halloween thrillseekers are in luck. A haunted site near Phoenix has been named a certified “top haunted attraction,” a designation that isn’t that easy to get.

The fright seal of approval comes from The Haunted Attraction Association, which says it is the only official association in the haunt industry. The HAA has certified 31 haunts across the country as official “top haunted attractions.”

The Denver site 13th Floor made the top of this list, with reviewers calling it "a world class attraction nationally recognized" by various TV News stations.

Terror in the Corn in Erie drops guests in the middle of a dark and sinister Corn Maze. There's also a haunted ghost town and Zombie paint ball.

The Asylum in Denver is also recommended.

A haunted attraction can make it onto the top haunted attractions list only if it is a member of HAA and meets a list of 10 criteria, the organization says, noting the safety of the guests is its No. 1 priority.
