- States agree to historic cuts from their Colorado River water allotments. After months of wrangling western states have come to an agreement to curtail their water consumption. The collective effort aims to preserve the river, which serves as a vital source of drinking water for 40 million people and supports irrigation for some of the nation's most productive farmland. Arizona, California and Nevada have committed to reducing their intake by three million acre-feet by the end of 2026. (Reuters)
- A time-lapse video captures the gradual movement of thick smoke engulfing Denver on Monday morning. This video captures the presence of smoke resembling fog, creating poor visibility and obscuring structures on Monday. This wildfire smoke briefly elevated Denver's air quality to one of the top five worst cities worldwide, according to IQAir's rating. (KUSA)
- During the day, miller moths seek refuge in variety of hiding spots. The miller moths continue to swarm across the Front Range on their migration to the mountains in search of food. Along the way, they play a crucial role in pollinating plants. These moths are predominantly active at night, particularly during the early evening, when they can be observed circling around lamps and being drawn towards lights (FOX31)
- In 2022, Denver's self-storage market experienced its most active year, ever. According to the latest report by StorageCafe, Denver has been identified as one of the leading self-storage markets based on investment volume in 2022.
