- Good news happens in Colorado every day, but it can often be overshadowed by the latest pandemic, crime, natural disaster and political news. So here's a good news roundup I put together this week for Denver's metro area — I hope you enjoy it! (Denver Patch)
- A shooting at an Aurora hotel left one person dead and three others injured. Two men were taken into custody — they are accused of shooting into a hotel room. (FOX 31 Denver)
- Hundreds of abortion rights advocates participated in a rally in Denver Saturday as part of nationwide women’s march. The rally-goers advocated for reproductive freedom for everyone. (The Denver Channel)
- While the coronavirus pandemic has demonstrated its ability to shutter schools, close down businesses and overwhelm hospitals, one thing it hasn't stopped is the growing number of robocalls —Coloradans received as many as 1.5 million robocalls and as many as 2 billion spam texts during the first months of 2021. - Alex Marrero, Denver Public Schools superintendent, has paused the district's plan to close low-enrollment schools. The decision was made after consultations with the community, and will be revisited after the district focuses on pandemic recovery, officials said. (CBS Denver)
