• Detectives testify at first day of hearings in Eagle County teen murder case (vaildaily.com) — Hearings have begun at the Eagle County Justice Center for a 17-year-old Eagle County resident charged in the 2024 stabbing death of 14-year-old Jackson Davis after a fight in Gypsum. Detectives testified about chaotic video evidence, multiple knives at the scene, and a key statement investigators say links the teen to the fatal stabbing, with proceedings set to continue this week in Eagle.
   

• Governor Polis, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and Great Outdoors Colorado Award $9.99 Million to Projects Advancing Colorado's Outdoors Strategy (arkvalleyvoice.com) — A major $2.5 million grant is headed to the Eagle County Regional Partnership and Colorado Cattlemen’s Agricultural Land Trust to help conserve nearly 18,000 acres of working ranchland and wildlife habitat in the Colorado River watershed. The award is part of nearly $10 million in new statewide funding for outdoor recreation, conservation, and climate resilience projects, including collaborations that connect Eagle with neighboring mountain counties.
