2 Colorado Bands To Be Selected For Red Rocks Performance

MORRISON, CO – Colorado's a capella powerhouse, Boulder-based Face Vocal Band, is returning to Red Rocks Amphitheater in July, and wants to bring two other Colorado bands along.

Face is asking local bands to submit a video to a contest to perform July 10. The top two chosen bands will open the concert at the Red Rocks on July 10, 2019 and be paid $750 for their performances. The performance will be a fundraiser to provide grants for music education in schools, the band said.

The band wants to invite two other Colorado bands to "pay it forward one step further," they said in a video.

Interested bands (who must commit to a family-friendly set) can submit their videos here. Bands must also show their "buzz" value by generating "buzz points" at the contest website.

Voting will end at 11:59 p.m. on May 19, 2019 and the opening acts will be announced on May 23, 2019, the band said.
