• Wild West Escape: Colorado Horse Thief Jumps from Moving Train in 1916 (townsquarenoco.com) — A century ago, a captured horse thief was being transported by train from New Orleans to face charges in Golden when he pulled off a daring escape. Unshackled for a bathroom break, he leapt from the moving train near Guthrie, Oklahoma, survived a dangerous swamp, and ultimately fled to Canada, where he even requested his luggage be forwarded.
