Jefferson County Sheriff's Office: Suspect Arrested After Robbery At Smoke Shop

Jefferson County, CO. – Just before 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 30, 2021, deputies responded to a robbery that occurred inside the Smoker Friendly store, located at 6762 W. Coal Mine Ave. According to witnesses, the suspect attempted to buy cigarettes but was denied so he threatened the clerk, threw things around the store, pushed the clerk, grabbed items and ran out the door.

The original report suggested this was an armed robbery. Schools in the area were immediately put on lock out status as a precaution. Once it was confirmed the suspect was no longer in the area, the lock out was lifted. It was also determined no weapons were involved in the incident.
