Man, 44, Shot Dead In Golden: Police

JEFFERSON COUNTY, CO – Jefferson County homicide deputies are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man in Golden, the Sheriff's office said Monday.

A man was found injured by gunshot wounds the afternoon of Saturday, April 13, the department said. He later died of his injuries.

Jeffco deputies were summoned around 4:15 p.m. to reports of a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Kilmer Street in Golden. The male victim, Kristian Macleod, 44, was taken with life threatening injuries to a hospital, and pronounced dead at 4:50 p.m. that afternoon, the Jeffco sheriff's office said in a press release.

The case is still under investigation, the sheriff's office said.
