Paraglider Falls 200 Feet Near Dinosaur Ridge After Wind Gust
A 45-year-old man was taken to the hospital after gusts of wind knocked down his paraglider.

GOLDEN, CO – A man has been hospitalized after falling almost 200 feet from the sky after a paraglider failure, the West Metro Fire Department said.
The 45-year-old man was paragliding near Golden and attempting a landing near Green Mountain, when a gust of wind caught his glider aircraft and the chute collapsed, emergency workers tweeted around 4 p.m. Thursday. The man and his chute landed near Dinosaur Ridge near C470 and West Alameda Parkway, West Metro said. Emergency workers guided traffic while medical staff stabilized the man and took him to a hospital. His status was not known.
A local family hiking on the hogback shot video of the paraglider as his chute deflated and he lost control.

“Once I realized that he was not yelling for joy — he was screaming for his life — I immediately quit videotaping and called 911,” Kent Kovack told Fox31.
