Visitor From Mexico Identified As Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash
An investigation is still ongoing as to the causes of the multi-vehicle chain reaction crash, police said.
GOLDEN, CO – The man killed in a motorcycle crash on US Hwy 6 Sunday afternoon was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office Tuesday.
Martin Morales Rosas, 35, of Mexico was identified as the victim of a multi-vehicle pileup around 2:30 p.m. that involved several motorcycles and cars at the intersection of US 6 and Colfax Avenue in Golden.
"[A]rrangements are being made to transport Mr. Rosas to his final resting place in Acajete, Mexico," a statement from the City of Golden said Tuesday.

Witnesses told police that a large group of motorcycles were traveling westbound on US 6. Somehow, a collision caused a chain reaction crash that involved several motorcycles and several cars. All of the other motorcyclists left the scene before police arrived, police said.
Drivers of cars involved stayed at the scene and worked with police to provide witness statements, police said in a statement.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is still ongoing, police said.
