Man And Woman In Custody After Golden Homicide

A man and a woman are being held at the JeffCo jail in connection with the shooting death of Kristian Macleod, 44, in Golden last weekend.

GOLDEN, CO – UPDATE: A man and a woman are being held in the Jefferson County jail in connection with the April 13 homicide of a man in Golden, the JeffCo Sheriff's Office said.

Joshua Polaske, 27, was arrested in Lakewood Monday in connection with the murder of Kristian Macleod, 44. He's being held facing first-degree murder charges on no bond. On April 14, Laci Barclay, 24, was arrested for suspicion of accessory to murder. Her bond was set at $500,000.

On Saturday, JeffCo deputies were summoned around 4:15 p.m. to reports of a gunshot wound in the 800 block of Kilmer Street where they found Macleod injured by a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital, and pronounced dead later that afternoon, the JeffCo Sheriff's office said in a press release.

This case is currently sealed and no further details were available, the JeffCo District Attorney's Office said.

Barclay's next court appearance is scheduled for April 19 and Polaske is scheduled to appear in court April 22.
