1 In Custody After Man Stabbed To Death In Lakewood
Detectives with the Lakewood Police Department are investigating a stabbing death.
LAKEWOOD, CO — A person is in custody after a man was stabbed to death Thursday in Lakewood, police said.
Officers were called to West Colfax Avenue and Ingalls Street around 2:55 p.m. after a report of a man lying on a sidewalk with an apparent stab wound. The officers found the man unconscious, and he was pronounced dead, police said.
Officers were able to track down a suspect soon after, and he was taken into custody, police said.

"No other information or identities of the involved parties are being released at this time as the investigation is still in the very early stages," the Lakewood Police Department said in a news release.

The man who was arrested is likely the only suspect involved in the stabbing, the department said.
