Bear Creek Lake Park Events Coming Up In Lakewood
Only a few weekends of summer vacation are left to enjoy Lakewood's premier beach, mountain trails and nature activities.

LAKEWOOD, CO – July is slipping away, and so is the chance to take advantage of the hiking trails, beach and nature opportunities at Lakewood's own Bear Creek Lake Park, William F. Hayden Park on Green Mountain and the Bear Creek Greenbelt.
The park includes an archery range, a boat launch, a marina with non-motorized boats to rent at Big Soda Lake, fishing at the Bear Creek reservoir, a livery stables and 15 miles of equestrian trails, a swim beach and hiking trails.
The park also offers the following naturalist programs for adults and families at the nature center: All programs take place at Bear Creek Lake Park 15600 W. Morrison Rd. Lakewood CO 80465

- Adult Nature Explorers 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. Times Gone By Adult Nature Explorers are geared towards those 18 and over! Participants will explore Bear Creek Lake Park through activities made for the adult crowd including hikes, special guests, and so much more! So leave the kids at home and enjoy an evening out in the park. We will meet at the Bear Creek Lake Park Visitor Center. Preregistration required Ages: 18 and up Cost: $5

- FREE Family Nature Program 10 a.m. - Noon Nature Tangles Explore all the nature Lakewood has to offer in these FREE Family Nature Programs! Hiking, interactive activities, and so much more are offered on these programs. So come out and see the wild side of the city! Locations vary and will be sent via email once registered so please register with an accurate email address. Park pass required with the park location. Preregistration required Ages: 10-17 Cost: FREE

- FREE Campfire Program 7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. Wild Fire! Roasting marshmallows and learning about the area, that's what Bear Creek Lake Park Campfire Programs are all about! Each Saturday will have a different subject covered with special guests occasionally! Park pass required. Ages: all ages Cost: FREE
Sat, Aug 4
- Nature Hike 9 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Location will be communicated via email after registration. Hike along a winding trail and learn about the flora, fauna and history of the area from Bear Creek Lake Park's naturalist. Come on down and bring your water and sunscreen to enjoy all that the park has to offer by hiking its beautiful trails. Locations vary and will be decided closer to the day, please ensure to register with an accurate email address to get updates. Preregistration required Ages: all ages Cost: $5
