Here are the top three stories today in Lakewood:
- After hosting over 5,000 Lakewood residents and visitors in 2021, Bear Creek Lake Park is expecting record-breaking attendance this 4th of July. Regional Park Supervisor Drew Sprafke stated the park reaches capacity each Independence Day, with beach and marina access closing as early as 11 a.m. some years. Sprafke advises visitors to arrive early with their annual pass or $10 entry fee to enjoy the marina or sandy swim beach. (Press Release Desk)
- Families are invited to enjoy outdoor storytime at the Amphitheater in Belmar Park today (Thursday, Jun. 30) at 11 a.m. Participants are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for the event, hosted by the Belmar Library in partnership with Heritage Lakewood.
