City Unveils New Playground Upgrades At Hilltop Park

Improvements include a new playground, picnic shelter with grill, benches and half-basketball court.

LAKEWOOD, CO - From the City of Lakewood: Lakewood residents love their playgrounds, and the City continues to focus on improving parks and playgrounds to encourage outdoor play and enhance residents’ quality of life. Members of the public are invited to enjoy the park improvements and new playground equipment at Hilltop Park, located at 9766 W. 22nd Place. This small .7-acre neighborhood park features a new playground, picnic shelter with grill, benches, half-basketball court, irrigation system, landscaping and walkways.

The design for the improvements was developed using results from a neighborhood survey and comments at a public meeting, with funding provided from the City’s Open Space fund and a Neighborhood Participation Program grant. Over the last two years, the City has renovated playgrounds at Bonfils-Stanton Park, Carmody Park, Founders Park, Lasley Park, Richey Park, Sutherland Shire Park and Westborough Park in addition to Hilltop Park.
