LAKEWOOD, CO – A 24-year-old man is in jail facing DUI and vehicular homicide charges following a car accident that killed his 27-year-old brother, Lakewood police said Wednesday.

Sean Alan Troxler was arrested after investigators determined his brother, Lowell Troxler Jr., had injuries on his head consistent with being run over by a car. Police said the accident happened near the intersection of West Alameda Parkway and South Foothills Drive.

Police were summoned around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday to the house of their father, in the 13000 block of West Virginia Drive, an arrest affidavit said. There, they found the brothers in the front seat of a Chevrolet truck with Sean holding his unconscious and bleeding brother Lowell saying, "It's gonna be OK, bro," the police report said. Lowell Jr. was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
