1. The Lakewood Cultural Center has announced the 2022-23 season, which brings a mix of music and theater to Lakewood in September. This season, the Lakewood Cultural Center promises to offer a celebration of diverse cultures, up-and-coming vocalists, holiday favorites, and thrilling performance art. (City of Lakewood)
2. Embrey, a diversified real estate investment company based out of San Antonio, recently purchased two parcels at 11085 and 11001 W. Colfax Ave. in Lakewood. Embrey plans to break ground later this summer on a four-story, 354-unit apartment complex called Bel Aire on the 4.38-acre site, pending approvals from the City of Lakewood. The developer has been working on the project for the past 18 months and is working within the city’s residential growth limitations that the City Council adopted in 2021.
