LAKEWOOD, CO — A Lakewood woman says her car was broken into four times in less than two years in the same Lakewood parking garage.
Tasha Pfeiffer of Lakewood told Denver7 News that four different incidents at a parking garage in her apartment complex near Belmar Square Park have cost her and her boyfriend almost $15,000.
Last week, Pfeiffer says her car’s catalytic converter was stolen. In the past 18 months, Pfeiffer says the car has been broken into three other times, and she plans to move once the lease is up.

Police say that car thefts in apartment communities are rising, according to a statement that building management sent to Denver7. "We have requested the Lakewood PD make additional patrols at our community and they have been doing so,” the statement said. “To supplement those patrols, we have also engaged our own courtesy patrol company to increase the frequency of patrols they make at our community."
