Lakewood's 45th Annual Cider Days Festival Canceled
Another one of metro Denver's most popular festivals has been canceled over concerns about the spread of the coronavirus.
LAKEWOOD, CO — For the first time in 45 years, Lakewood's annual Cider Days fall festival has been canceled. The event is one of many that have been canceled or postponed amid public health orders that restrict large gatherings in Colorado.
"We look forward to bringing back this celebration next year," the City of Lakewood posted in a public notice. "Mark your calendars for October 2 and 3, 2021!"
For 44 years, Coloradans have flocked to the festival to celebrate local agricultural heritage with cider tastings, live performances and many activities for people of all ages.
