LAKEWOOD, CO -- A Lakewood veterinarian who calms his furry patients with song at his family's vet clinic says he started the practice by accident.
"I'm either helping animals or playing music and honestly, the guitar ended up at the vet hospital, it's as simple as that," Ross Henderson said on a recent TV interview.

"Sometimes your patient just needs you to go the extra mile to make them feel comfortable when they're here for the day to have surgery," the Fox Hollow YouTube channel says. "Dr. Ross has mastered the technique and sweet Ruby was so thankful for that."
Henderson even uses his original music to accompany videos of dogs and cats waiting for adoption to help draw attention to the need for forever homes.
