Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For Lakewood Murder
Israel Becerril-Rodriguez, 27, was convicted of murdering a man at a convenience store in Lakewood in 2019, the district attorney said.
LAKEWOOD, CO — A man was sentenced Tuesday to life in prison without the possibility of parole for the murder of 28-year-old Jesus Arambula Terrones in Lakewood, the Jefferson County district attorney's office announced.
Israel Becerril-Rodriguez, 27, was convicted Thursday of first-degree murder. His sentencing hearing took place Tuesday.
Becerril-Rodriguez is being held at the Jefferson County jail and declined to appear for his sentencing hearing, the DA's office said.

Lakewood police found Arambula Terrones dead with five gunshot wounds on Nov. 3, 2019, at the 7-Eleven store at 1107 S. Sheridan Blvd., police said.
Becerril-Rodriguez was involved with Arambula Terrones' ex-wife, according to an arrest affidavit.

Becerril-Rodriguez was arrested in Nevada four days later and extradited back to Colorado. He told police he was angry at Arambula Terrones and shot him before attempting to flee to Mexico, authorities said.
Becerril-Rodriguez refused to show any remorse for the shooting, prosecutors said.
