Man Shot, Dumped At Hospital In Lakewood
A mystery man and woman reportedly dumped a man wounded with a gunshot at a Lakewood hospital and drove away, police said Thursday night.

LAKEWOOD, CO – A mystery man and woman reportedly dumped a man wounded with a gunshot at a Lakewood hospital and drove away, police said Thursday night.
Police were called to the area near Sheridan Boulevard and West 4th Avenue around 6:30 p.m. Thursday, after 911 callers reported hearing gunshots, a statement from police said.
Police searching the scene found "blood and shell casings in the area but no victim," police said.

Shortly thereafter, dispatchers reported that an adult male with a gunshot wound had been dropped off at Swedish Belmar. The victim was later transported to Swedish Hospital, a police spokesperson said. The victim was in "critical condition" Thursday night, police said.
Police said they believed the incident was "isolated" and that there was no danger to the general public. Police did not release any description of the people who dropped off the man, nor did they name the wounded person.

Police said the incident was under investigation and no further information would be immediately released.
