Lakewood, Colo. (Aug. 13, 2018)—The Action Center is hosting the Beautiful Junk Sale on Sept. 28 and 29. This bi-annual mega thrift-sale event is held at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds located near 6th Ave. and Denver West Parkway. The sale lets shoppers rummage to find valuables, antiques, home goods, furniture, clothes and toys – all proceeds benefit The Action Center.
“This is one of our signature fundraising events,” Executive Director Pam Brier says. “Throughout the year, our community graciously donates many valuable goods. We give many clothing, food and household items to people in-need. The additional donations are placed into storage and held for this unique sale where wonderful treasures can be found.”
Admission is $5 to shop Friday, Sept. 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. or Saturday, Sept. 29 from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Shoppers wanting first dibs on items can pay $30 for an early-bird admission, which begins Friday at 7 a.m. Cash is accepted at the admission door. Cash, Visa and MasterCard credit cards, and checks accepted at the check out line with the option to make an additional donation to support the charity.
