Snow showers and rain are expected Tuesday in Denver's metro area, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.

Rain and snow are likely to fall before 10 a.m. Tuesday, then rain is expected in the afternoon, weather officials said. Some thunder is also possible.

The chance of precipitation Tuesday is 70 percent, and you can expect a high near 43.

The chance of rain then drops to 30 percent Tuesday night, and wind could gust up to 15 mph.

You can expect a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon, and then the clouds will part for a mostly sunny sky for the rest of the week, the weather agency said.
