  1. No fireworks in Lakewood this year. Towns across the country, including Lakewood and Castle Rock, have canceled their fireworks displays for the Fourth of July. While some towns decided to cancel due to a shortage of fireworks, Lakewood's cancelation was due to fire concerns. (Claims Journal)
  2. Colorado primary elections took place yesterday. Click the link to see live updates as results are counted and winners are decided. Among the choices on the ballot are primary elections for Governor, Secretary of State, and U.S. Senate. (CPR)
  3. Car and catalytic converter thefts are on the rise. Colorado has the highest rate of car theft per capita in the country, and things are getting worse. Because of a slowing economy and a troubled supply chain, the value of catalytic converters is going up, and the incentive for theft going up with it. It's a growing problem with no end in sight.
