The National Weather Service has issued weather alerts for north Douglas County, southwest Arapahoe County and east central Jefferson County. A significant weather advisory will be in effect from until 4 p.m. Friday. Half-inch hail and wind gusts of up to 40 mph will be possible, weather officials said. "At 329 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Morrison, or 14 miles southwest of Denver, moving southeast at 35mph," the advisory read.
