LAKEWOOD, CO — Before the town’s cutest witches and goblins take to Lakewood streets in search of Halloween’s sweetest bounty, it’s a good idea for parents to check out what Mother Nature has in store for our community’s annual trick-or-treating festivities.
Trick-or-treating in Lakewood is planned for the evening of Sunday, Oct. 31. Considering the event is just days away, there’s a good chance we might luck out when it comes to the weather.
As you head out on Sunday evening, expect clouds and chilly temperatures. AccuWeather predicts that temperatures will dip to 34 degrees in the evening, down from an afternoon high of 48 degrees.

However, you may not need to pack umbrellas and rain jackets — the chance of precipitation is currently 43 percent, with snow flurries possible.
Though Halloween is expected to be chilly, the days leading up to the holiday will be significantly warmer. Temperatures on Thursday will be in the high 50s, and they will rise to the low 70s on Friday and high 60s on Saturday before cooling down in time for trick-or-treating.

Fall Fun Fest and Trunk or Treat – Foothills Cavalry, Sunday, 4-8 p.m., Foothills Cavalry

Flick or Treat, Saturday, 3-8:30 p.m., Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park
Join us for a spook-tacular Halloween celebration for everyone! Trick-or-treat through the historic buildings of Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park, savor tasty food truck fare from local favorites and enjoy a special Halloween feature under the moonlight at our amphitheater.
