$2 Million Winning Powerball Ticket Sold In CT: Check Your Tickets

CONNECTICUT — A $2 million winning Powerball ticket was sold in Connecticut on Wednesday night, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

One ticket correctly matched five numbers and the Power Play, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The grand prize jackpot for the Oct. 18 Powerball drawing was $49 million, which no one won. The jackpot has risen to $70 million on Saturday, Oct. 21.

All told there were 5,144 "winning" tickets sold in CT and here is the breakdown from the Connecticut Lottery:

• 1 ticket: $2 million
• 1 ticket: $100,000
• 10 tickets: $200
• 7 tickets: $100
• everyone else between $4 and $14.

The winning numbers for the Oct. 18 Powerball drawing were: 1-4-13-35-58. The Powerball is 24 and the Power Play is X2.

According to the Connecticut Lottery, the drawings occur Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 PM. On drawing nights, wagering closes at 10 p.m. and reopens at 11:15 p.m. Powerball costs $2 per wager. The Power Play feature costs an additional $1 per wager.
