Police said investigators located more than 100 dead non-domesticated animals at the two residences. Earlier this year, police indicated the animals included a variety of species, ranging from rabbits to chickens, birds and cats.

Police secured arrest warrants and spent months attempting to locate the individuals. A tip led officers to Rhode Island on Aug. 16, police said.

The North Kingston and Narragansett, Rhode Island police departments assisted with finding and arresting the trio, who were transported to Old Saybrook Department of Police Services for processing.

All three were arraigned in Superior Court in Middletown on Wednesday. They are due back in court on Sept. 17.
