84,045​ 'Winning' Tickets Sold In CT For $1.58B Mega Millions Jackpot

One grand prize Mega Millions ticket was sold in Florida, but more than 84,000 tickets sold in CT won some money. Check your tickets.

CONNECTICUT — It's all over. A $1.58 billion winning Mega Millions ticket was sold in Florida for the Aug. 8 drawing.

In Connecticut, the top consolation prize was three tickets produced $20,000 winners, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The one-time cash payout for the Florida winning ticket is expected to be $757 million before taxes, which is the largest jackpot in history for this particular game.

The Connecticut Lottery said 84,045 "winning" tickets were sold for last night's Mega Millions drawing. This means that folks won between $4 and $10,000 in CT.
