Avon's MLK 2026 Holiday Weekend Impacts Announced
Monday is the holiday honoring Martin Luther King Jr., with several town and school impacts announced.
AVON, CT — This weekend is another holiday weekend, with several Connecticut towns paying homage to Martin Luther King Jr. on the holiday honoring the slain civil rights leader.
In Avon, all municipal departments will be closed on Monday, Jan. 19, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Offices impacted include town offices, the public works department, the Avon Senior Center, and the Avon Free Public Library. They will reopen as normal the next day.
