All (K-12) students in Connecticut are encouraged to submit black-and-white artwork linked to a theme from the eight categories of developmental assets. These categories include: Support, Commitment to Learning, Empowerment, Positive Values, Boundaries and Expectations, Social Competencies, Constructive Use of Time and Positive Identity.

The winning submissions will be featured in a coloring book using Connecticut’s National Prevention Week (NPW) mascot. The prevention-themed coloring book will be available to residents across the state. And not only will their work be featured in the coloring book, but all qualifying submissions will be posted on the National Prevention Week webpage on the Connecticut Clearinghouse website, and winning artwork will be featured at the NPW Event.
