CT Hits $5.1 Million Recreational Cannabis Sales In January
More than $5 million worth of recreational cannabis products were sold from Jan. 10-31. Medical sales were even higher.
CONNECTICUT — Sales of recreational cannabis eclipsed $5 million in January, according to the latest tally from the state Department of Consumer Protection.
There were $5.1 million in sales for recreational product and $8.2 million for medical product between Jan. 10-31, for a total of $13.3 million.
Figures don't include taxes connected on recreational product. Recreational purchases can buy up to 1/4 an ounce of raw flower or its equivalent per transaction. Medical users can buy up to five ounces per month and aren't subject to individual transaction limits or taxes.
