CT Weather: Thunderstorms Expected And New Details On Labor Day Holiday Weekend Forecast
Here are the new details on when to expect storms in Connecticut and an updated look at the Labor Day holiday weekend forecast.
The state could experience some rain and thunderstorms today, but the remainder of the long holiday weekend is looking pleasant for outdoor activities, meteorologists predict.
WFSB 3 TV reports that Friday could bring some isolated showers.
“As we close out the week expect a blend of sun and clouds,” the station reported. “As a cold front approaches then moves through the region, isolated showers (perhaps some rumbles of thunder) will be possible.”

The National Weather Service is predicting a chance of showers and thunderstorms in Connecticut after noon today.
WFSB meteorologists say Connecticut will not get widespread or soaking rain today. Instead, the station predicts some areas could experience brief downpours and some areas could remain completely dry.

Later Friday evening, skies will begin to clear, according to WFSB.
Following Friday’s cold front, the rest of the weekend is expected to be dry and sunny, according to meteorologists with WFSB and the National Weather Service.
Nights will be more fall-like, with low temperatures dipping into the 40s and 50s. Saturday highs will reach into the low-to-mid 70s, with Sunday expected to be milder. Monday will be closer to 80 degrees, according to WFSB, which is calling the weather on Monday “perfect for Labor Day plans.”
