Accumulating Snow Once Again Forecast For Some In CT: Here’s What You Can Expect
Yes, snow accumulation maps have returned despite us approaching mid-April. Here's hoping for warmer weather soon.
CONNECTICUT — Parts of the state saw snowfall overnight, and forecasters say more white stuff is on the way for tonight and into tomorrow for parts of Connecticut.
"Snow will be ongoing through sunrise Saturday. Totals reach 1-3″ throughout northwestern CT, but some of the highest elevations could see totals up to 4″!" said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Towns along the MA border in the Quiet Corner may also see an inch or two. Elsewhere inland, a coating to an inch will be possible. Showers will be plain rain along the shoreline. After sunrise, there will be a transition back over to rain. Steady rain will taper to showers, but drizzle and mist will still be ongoing even into the evening. Rain totals are expected to be between 0.50″ and 1.50″. Highs will only be in the low to mid-40s, about 15 to 20 degrees below average, making it feel quite raw outside! Northeasterly winds may gust between 20 and 30 mph tomorrow afternoon. Wind chill values will be in the 30s." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
