CONNECTICUT — Expect warmer temperatures to finally arrive for the holiday weekend, according to forecasters with WFSB and the National Weather Service.

WFSB reports that Connecticut is starting to see a warming trend following Wednesday’s chilly weather.

“Over the upcoming weekend we anticipate the warmest weather since November as temps reach near summer-like levels!” WFSB reported. “Good news, too, both Saturday and Sunday (Easter) are primarily dry.”

Steve DiRienzo, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, said Friday will be milder and less breezy than Thursday.

“The winter weather is moving out, with a warmer front moving through,” DiRienzo said.

The state will see highs in the 60s on Friday, which DiRienzo said will be a “spring-like day.”

On Saturday, Connecticut will see “very mild” temperatures, even approaching 80 degrees in some spots, though most of the state will see temperatures in the 70s, according to DiRienzo.

On Easter Sunday, temperatures are expected to be cooler than Saturday, forecasters said.

“Easter’s weather won’t be as good as Saturday,” DiRienzo said. “Over the weekend, the Connecticut coast will have slightly cooler temperatures than inland.”
