We've enjoyed some great weather recently, here is when that is expected to end and what we can expect next week in Connecticut.

This recent run of great weather we've been experiencing will stick around a couple of more days, and then major changes begin on Sunday and continue through most of next week.

First the good news

Friday is another perfect late summer day with sunshine, low humidity and temperatures into the 80s. Saturday features more of the same, with sun and temperatures into the 80s. Sunday will be warmer but not that humid, according to WFSB 3 TV forecasters.

Get ready for our next heat wave

"The heat continues next week with FOUR *First Alert Weather Days* in a row!" said WFSB 3 TV forecasters. "Monday turns muggy with highs in the lower 90s, feeling more like it’s in the mid and upper 90s. Tuesday, temperatures reach the low and mid-90s, feeling like it’s 95-100. But the heat keeps building... by Wednesday, with a persistent southwest wind, temperatures reach the upper 90s! Humidity also climbs to oppressive levels, so it’ll feel like it’s 100° or higher. Records may also be challenged...Thursday will be similar to Wednesday, perhaps just a couple degrees lower....As we see it now, storms may be possible by Thursday." (Read more at WFSB 3 TV).
