Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For CT Tuesday, Next Storm Emerges In Forecast
A hazardous weather outlook and a special weather statement have been issued in Connecticut. Here's what you need to know.

CONNECTICUT — A hazardous weather outlook has been issued for Connecticut Tuesday morning due to foggy conditions. Additionally, a special weather statement has been issued for northern Connecticut due to black ice concerns.
A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. for Connecticut. "Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog....Hazardous driving conditions due to low visibility."
In northern Connecticut, the weather service said, "Areas of dense fog combined with temperatures in the low to mid 30s will lead to patchy black ice developing this morning with locally hazardous travel conditions. Use caution if traveling, especially on bridges and overpasses. Roads that appear wet may actually have a thin layer of ice. The black ice threat will diminish after 9 am as temperatures rise."

"(Wednesday) morning will feature a couple showers, especially in western CT and then by the afternoon we’re expecting steadier more widespread rainfall into the evening from an area of low pressure passing through," Slifer and Richardson wrote. "This will most likely linger into Thursday morning and we could even see some showers for the later half of the day. Rain totals will be in the 0.5-1.0″ range, with perhaps a couple of isolated towns a little higher. With temperatures so warm and lows in the 40s - there is no chance of anything wintry so snow lovers will have to wait a little longer!"
More rain showers are forecast on Friday, and it turns colder next weekend, with temperatures only into the upper 30s on Sunday. (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).
