Additionally, the Labor Day weekend forecast in Connecticut now includes some rain. Here are the new details.

CONNECTICUT — On Monday, we were talking about a good chance for severe thunderstorms on Wednesday afternoon and evening.
It looks like the storm will now stay largely south of Connecticut and no severe weather is now forecast, though some areas may see an "isolated storm" later on Wednesday, according to WFSB 3 TV meteorologists.
While we won't be seeing any severe weather, it will be very hot and humid on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching to near 90 degrees.

"Today, we have *First Alert* for heat & humidity as temps that peak between 85 and 90 will feel more like the 90s… which could impact schools that do not have air conditioning and those that must work outside in these conditions," said WFSB 3 TV meteorologists. "Also, there’s a slight chance for an isolated storm as a cold front moves through the region. Isolated activity is possible after 5pm. As we’ve been highlighting, the threat for severe weather has been shifting away from CT, to our southwest."

"For now, Saturday looks to start dry but end(s) wet. Cloud cover increases as the day progresses with an increasing chance for rain (perhaps some rumbles of thunder) toward sunset, and more so at night. There is a level 1 risk for excessive rainfall. Cloudiness and showers early Sunday should give way to a clearing trend, though the timing is a little iffy, and highs that afternoon in the lower 80s. When it comes to Labor Day (Monday), our latest longer range model data is now indicating dry, brighter and cooler weather!" (Read/watch more at WFSB 3 TV).
