‘Slow-Moving Storm' To Impact CT For Days: Here’s What You Need To Know

CONNECTICUT — Have your umbrella handy later this week, as rainfall is expected to impact the state Friday and into the weekend.

The heaviest rainfall will be Friday evening into Saturday, with total rainfall of at least an inch in parts of the state, according to the National Weather Service.

“A slow-moving low pressure system will bring rainfall to the area Thursday night into the weekend,” the National Weather Service said.

In advance of the unsettled weather, today looks sunny with temperatures cooler than normal, with highs in the upper 40s, according to WFSB.

Tonight, the state will have below-freezing temperatures, then Thursday looks dry, with temperatures rising into the 50s, WFSB meteorologists said.

On Friday, showers will arrive later in the day, with a rainy Saturday, and some lingering showers possible into early Sunday, according to WFSB.

Starting on Monday, the state will see sunny skies and high temperatures in the 60s, according to WFSB and the National Weather Service.
